無境文化

Editions Utopie Co., Ltd.(無境文化事業股份有限公司) was established in May 2010 by Yang Ming-Min and Wu Kun-Yung in Taiwan. The company aims to promote humanism by connecting knowledge, experience, and emotions through publishing.

Initially, the company introduced contemporary French thought and launched two translation series:

  1. On the Scene – Psychoanalysis Series: Curated by Yang Ming-Min, this series explores the connection between objective reality and personal subjective experience, emphasizing the application of psychoanalysis in contemporary society.
  2. Taking Red – Social and Political Criticism Series: Curated by Wu Kun-Yung, this series focuses on social and political critique, advocating for the free expression of diverse perspectives.

As the publishing scope expanded, Editions Utopie included local creations and translations from other languages, with series such as:

  • Living – Applied Psychoanalysis Series: Curated by Lee Chun-Yi, this series explores the application of psychoanalysis in literature, art, and culture, enriching theoretical content and extending its boundaries.
  • Taiwan Psychoanalysis Society Series: This series documents lectures held by the society, covering discussions on texts, films, art, and social phenomena, extending the exploration of human nature.
  • Style – Literary Translation Series: Curated by Yeh Wei-Chung, this series brings distant cultures closer through translation, promoting exchanges between different fields.
  • Plural Hearing – New Knowledge Era Series: Curated by Shih Wu-Keng, this series uncovers the blind spots of the familiar by exploring unfamiliar topics, broadening the reader's horizons.
  • Atlas – Humanities Series: Translated from the "Atlas" series by France’s Autrement Publishing House, it visually presents issues such as gender, religious conflict, water resource supply, and globalization.
